Hi 00:36
There’s no alarm, no storm above my crown, at last at peace, or at least unwound - but what’s that sound, from the street?
2.
When you live and when you die, you give and give, a thousand times, and it takes a toll on all of us. When you love and when you fight Lips to lips, an eye for an eye You keep the kiss, the blindness when it belongs to all of us. When you live, and when you die, you give & give, a thousand times, and all you get is all the world.
3.
I was leaning on the past... my love, it will outlast us all - I know, it goes by fast, but my dove was never immortal. And I know you can make a devil from a saint, or make the same mistake the other way. I was bleeding from the chest, my love, you couldn’t sew it fast enough, I know, to pass that test - but our blood won’t be the last of us! And I know you’re gonna miss your bitterness, yeah when you lighten up. And don’t you know? Can’t you tell? They’re just shoveling coal in their own hell & I’m just warming up. I was green with the sense that my dove would be a different animal - I guess I’m wrong! But that’s no defense, my love feels like a cannonball! And I know you’re gonna miss your bitterness when you lighten up. And you know you’re gonna keep it for yourself. And there’s only so much poison you can drink from the cup, before you gotta worry about your health... And don’t you know? Can’t you tell? We’re just shoveling coal in our own hell & it’s warming up.

Duct Tape 05:00
You always talked about leaving with a smile, your eyes - wide and bulging at the great, unfolding divide, and we ride on: Stretched brake cables, and loose bolts. Dark energy and cargo cults. I don’t miss you, my heavy shadow. I don’t miss you. You always wrote with a needle and a nail, and you never got no letters in the mail. Though I tried, in the afterglow, to wrap up my right mind, it always unwinds. Despite duct tape and chicken wire, gravitational waves and coal fire. I don’t miss you, my heavy shadow. I don’t miss you.
6.
All my time is spent chasing the meaning and the money, and the funny thing is lost along the way. All I need is a nice looking mountain, a little fire burning, and a bottle or two (three, four five). Some people like to chase their drinks, others prefer it come to them. It’s hard enough to keep this smile on my face, without giving up, throw up my hands and walk away. All my mind is spent just dragging this body around, and if it breaks down, can I buy another one? (two, three, four and) Five minutes alone is all you need to find yourself, if you practice enough. Some people truly follow their heart, others just carry it around like a breifcase or a pumping clutch, all covered in blood, and it’s just dragging them down. It’s hard enough to keep this smile on my face, without giving up, throw up my hands and walk away.

I don't want to know where the bodies go - just keep them out of frame. I can’t stand to watch the cameras, just getting off, but I can't peel myself away. And I don’t have to, I like it that way. I don’t want to think that we’re just leaning on the brink, but it’s all they ever say. And if it’s true, will you know who to blame? It could be your neighbor! It could be your closest friend! Degenerates! My love is gone, I’m hung and I’m dangerous. I don’t want to know, but I begin to think that I’m part of the show. I’ve got to stand my ground, gotta get up and play the part - but what’s that sound, from the street? Kids are getting shot, and catching bombs, and packing heat, and bleeding out. No, no don’t make me watch! Close the blinds! Lock the doors! Cut the lights! What if those talking, talking, talking, talking heads were right, and now it’s all about to blow? I told you man, I told you so! Who’s going to be the first to go? It could be your neighbor! It could be your closest friend! Degenerates! My love is gone, I’m hung and I’m dangerous.

For The Win 04:56
In the name, the name of truth is what you make work for you could never tame the wild blood will run both ways, it always does. For the game, for the win, for the name, till the end of every Line your pockets full of bargain gold too dark for shining, have you been sold the old hard joke? A lump of coal, a stone to throw. For the game, for the win, for the name, for the thrill of it I’ll bleach my eyes, I’ll burn my eyes, until the light is all that I can see. Until this little light is all that I can be is One, one of two, two distinct opposing truths, as opposed to you: no light to hold, out in the dark, trying to shine a lump of coal till it turns gold.

Swell Vibes 04:59
When the pain comes easy and the pleasure's hard to find may the soul, may the body be tended by the mind, but if you don't have the time... You can trade your pain for a well worn remedy. It will numb the pain, it'll numb most anything and it don't wear off easily. I can’t shake it off, I can’t shake it off my mind. I can’t wait it out, I can’t weigh it down one more time. When attention is a budget you can spend just like money they’ll give you the fear for free so you’ll buy the accessories. So buy, buy, buy, bye! I can’t shake it off, I can’t shake it off my mind. I can’t change it out, I can’t sell it down one more time. But all roads lead, and I don’t know anything. No one knows anything. Ends and means, and I don’t know anything. No one here knows anything. When the dream gets heavy and buries the mind, grab your heart like a shovel, and dig through to the light.

Tree Song 03:56
If, in the end, I ask myself one question - when it all goes black, will I have my own attention? Or will I be spacing out? To 100 and back, I grow towards my intentions, tricking death to act on my behalf. And to what end? A slow settling. We’ll meet again, once I’ve been through these movements. Will we look the same? Would we know any different at all? When all my attention is gone… Slow settling. A slow settling of my bones.
